The four workshops:

Qigong - A Prescription for the Future - Ron Prescott Naturopath

Qigong or Chi-Kung originated in ancient China thousands of years ago, it consists of a series of slow flowing movements combined with slow deep breathing to create a moving meditation artform. Qigong affects energy through meridians or energy channels in the body and unblocks acupuncture points to bring balance to the body physically and emotionally. There are so many benefits to doing Qigong including boosting energy levels, building stress resilience, calming the mind, balancing hormones, reducing pain and improving sleep.

Wear comfortable clothing, for those with difficulty standing for periods of time it can be done sitting down.

Anne-Marie – Naturopathic Kinesiologist

Kinesiology is a powerful tool which empowers you to take control of your health, your lifestyle, and your emotions and practitioners use muscle response testing - applying light pressure to limbs and observing their response to this pressure - to highlight where the body is out of balance.  Under or over energy within the body can have a detrimental effect on function.

Rebalancing the flow of energy, bringing balance to the body, can have profound effects on our well-being and functionality. Kinesiology can be seen as a blend of the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine and western techniques using a range of gentle yet extremely powerful techniques.

Eat Right for your Type - Sam Downton Naturopathic Nutritional Therapist and Iridologist

Knowing your blood type is not only important in the event of a transfusion. Research indicates that your blood type is a key genetic factor influencing many areas of health and well-being.

Have you ever noticed how some people tend to lose weight more easily, while for others, their weight is an ongoing battle? Or wondered why some people are plagued by chronic illness while others stay healthy and vital well into their advanced years. One area which makes a difference is to know is your blood type and act accordingly. Knowing your blood type is an important tool for understanding how your body reacts to food, your susceptibility to disease, your natural reaction to stress, and so much more. We’ll run through the strengths and weaknesses of each blood type helping you give your clients another area to work on in the aim of optimal health.

Neurodivergence: Understanding our role as practitioners and how to best support children and young adults with mental health challenges - Olivier Sanchez Naturopathic Nutritional Therapist, Naturopath and Iridologist

Neurodivergent individuals experience and process the world in unique ways, which can affect how they interact socially, manage sensory input, or learn and focus. They may also be very sensitive to food texture and taste, making it extremely difficult for them to try new foods. The parents may also struggle to feed them healthier foods.

We will review the most common conditions, such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Dyscalculia, and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), and the different approaches.

In our group, we will discuss case studies and come up with the most ideal protocol to give you hands-on approach and help you become familiar with building plans that are adapted to the individual. The benefit of learning as a group is that you can find new ways of looking at health and addressing different issues, which you may not have thought of on your own. So be ready to contribute. All experiences are welcome.
