We might take it for granted that the batteries of our cells – the mitochondria - will go on efficiently transforming our food into the energy we need to feel healthy. But evidence is growing that, as we age, these tiny organelles can become damaged, leading to many chronic illnesses, including cardiovascular disease, chronic fatigue, neurodegenerative diseases and diabetes.
This webinar will start with an overview of the structure and functions of mitochondria, before explaining how our diet and lifestyle can cause mitochondrial dysfunction. It will then go on to discuss what can be done to support and improve mitochondrial number and function, helping to restore health and vitality.
