Obtaining NNA Recognition for CPD Events

For any course, seminar or workshop you would like to be considered for CPD recognition by the NNA, please apply in the first instance by completing the online form below. There may be a small fee payable. Please enquire on application.

CPD points are typically awarded based on one CPD hour per hour of learning.

To give our CPD Committee sufficient information to review the suitability of the event, you are requested to complete our Application Form and submit it together with the requested Supporting Information in good time allowing at least two weeks for approval (if appropriate) to be provided.

  • A synopsis of the event, this could be in the form of the event flyer or a link to a web advertisement that includes details about the speakers;
  • An agenda or schedule: CPD hours can only be accredited for the time actually spent in training; Therefore, a schedule of the event that shows the training time compared to non-training time such as meal breaks, registration etc. is required;
  • A copy of the presentation/slides.

Recognition is valid for twelve months from the date of first approval. If an event is repeated during that year, with no change in content, no further approval will be required. A new application will be required for events that are repeated after that time has elapsed. If there is no change to the supporting information a new application form only is required.

CPD recognition entitles you to use the NNA logo for a period of one year but only in direct relationship with the approved event.

If your event is approved, it will appear as a CPD approved training event on the NNA website under Education and Training.
